Help Needed for Survey on Boys from China

help needed for survey on boys from China

Hi all-
Apologies to those of you have seen this message on other groups and
already responded! I am mom to 3, one bio girl, one China
girl, and one China boy. I am also a consultant in the area of early
childhood policies and development. While most of my work has been
on kids with special needs and high risk kids, I have decided to
bring my work a little closer to home and do some adoption research.

I am working with Dr. Tony Tan and Dr. Mary Beth Bruder. Many of you
may have already completed a survey for Dr. Tan as part of his
longitudinal study or are familiar with Dr. Bruder's survey. My work
is different in that it will focus on boys from China. How many of
us have read things about China girls and thought, "Well, what about
my son?!?"

I am interested in finding out things like how parents
perceive the challenges of adopting a boy from China, parents'
reaction to receiving a referral of a boy and, since many boys are
from the Waiting Child program, finding out about their special
needs. I am trying to get as many parents as possible with boys from
China to complete a short survey. If you are interested, please e-
mail me at elisa_rosman@ yahoo.com, and I will e-mail you the survey.

Please feel free to cross-post.
Many thanks!
Elisa
